Union Bank, Jain Irrigation tie up to fund farmers

Union Bank of India has entered into a partnership with Jain Irrigation Systems to finance farmers purchasing drip irrigation systems manufactured by the latter. Farmers can get hassle-free access to credit under the partnership, the bank said in a statement.

Jain Irrigation will extend guidance to farmers on crop and irrigation managements.

"The partnership will help the bank to reach farmers across India," said V. S. Dole, General Manager, Union Bank.
