Mr. Ashok Jain is the Chairman of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited and a well-known entrepreneur working for agriculture for the past over 4 decades. He is 56 years old and is the eldest son of Late Dr. Bhavarlal Jain, the Founder Chairman. Mr. Ashok Jain obtained his degree in Commerce from University of Pune. He is an avid sportsman and has represented his alma mater in Cricket, Badminton, Hockey and Football. Mr. Ashok Jain took a keen interest in the business activities of his family firm even as a student, taking part in sales & marketing. He has worked both at Mumbai office on Import- Export & Administration, in the Papain & PVC Pipe manufacturing activities in Jalgaon in his early career. In 1989, he began to look after office and HR Management, Communication function & Public Relations.
Appointed as Director of Jain Irrigation in 1993, he focused on marketing of drip irrigation and provision of extension services of farmers throughout the country. In 1996, he was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Company and began to support erection and commissioning activities of the Food Processing Division and Bulk Raw Material purchases. Then, he oversaw the Food Processing Division and Green Energy Product Division being in-charge of Group’s overall Administration, Public Relations and Policy Making. He has built experience and expertise in all Divisions of the Company. He leads Company initiatives in maintaining all important relationships with the farming community. He ideates and implements philanthropic activities of the firm as well as family.

Mr. Anil Jain has served as Managing Director of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL) since 1992. He has since steered the growth of the company from INR 0.35 billion to INR 80 billion (approx. USD 1.2 billion in 2018). He joined the Company’s management team in 1984 and worked in the New York office between 1987 and 1991, leading its international marketing from there. Thereafter, he returned to India and took charge of the Company’s overall functioning as Managing Director and CEO.
Mr. Anil Jain is a veteran professional with over 30 years of experience in core strategic areas such as finance and banking, domestic and international marketing, strategic planning, horizontal and vertical expansion, and change management. He, along with his three brothers, enabled JISL’s successful global expansion to 126 countries. JISL has become the only Indian agricultural corporation with its origin and foundation in rural India to offer a richly integrated product and services basket that benefits the entire value chain of stakeholders.
Being an advocate for the cause of small and marginal farmers across the world, Mr. Anil Jain has driven JISL’s multifold progress while keeping the small farmer at the fulcrum of all its objectives and activities. He works zealously towards the issues of food security, water security and energy security. Innovative entrepreneurship is his chosen tool for creating sustainable impact in agriculture, natural resource management, food processing, renewable energy, and related areas. Under his leadership, JISL has positioned itself at the forefront of cutting edge innovation in the field of agriculture to provide cost effective solutions to the farmers that improve their productivity and prosperity.
He is an avid reader. His belief in integrated practices such as non violence in thoughts and actions, equanimity and conservation, in business as much as in personal life, has led him to undertake many a philanthropic, social and cultural cause. He follows a modest lifestyle both at work and home.
Mr. Anil Jain has a degree in commerce from Pune University (1984) and a degree in law from Mumbai University (1986); He is a Director of Gandhi Research Foundation - Jalgaon & PAPSAC HBS (Private & Public Scientific, Academic & Consumer Food Policy Group Harvard Business School), U.S.A. He is the Chairman of Steering Committee to Create Shared Value in Agribusiness – ACTION PLATFORM. Mr. Ajit B. Jain is BE (Mech) from Pune. He has worked as Managing Director of erstwhile Jain Plastics and Chemicals Limited (now part of the Company). He joined in 1984 and started his training in production and maintenance in the pipe division. During the period from 1985-1990, he was in charge of establishing our new pipe production plant at Sendhwa (in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India). In 1993 he was appointed as Director of the Company. He is Joint Managing Director of Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, Jalgaon (India) since 1998 and is responsible for the Micro Irrigation System, pipe division as well as marketing of all plastic products, including drip irrigation, guidance for extension service and development of new applications and products.
He was appointed Director with the overall responsibility of the pipe manufacturing plant at Jalgaon, including production, maintenance and marketing of new applications & products. He has technical background and has been largely involved in adaption and development of drip irrigation concept in the Country. Besides overall production, administration and marketing management responsibility he has also handled all India marketing function of Drip Irrigation and PVC pipe products, PE and other speciality pipes and fittings all over the world. He has been involved with development of new applications & products and adaptation of drip technology for Indian conditions as well as technical integration of acquired entities in last few years. He has substantial authority to oversee and implement the day to day operations of the Company as a Joint Managing Director.
He is the honorary secretary of DRIPMA and an active member of National Horticulture Mission. He is also the Vice President of the Association for Improvement in Production and Utilization of Banana (AIPUB). Ajit Jain has made a strong contribution to the development of horticulture in the country with the promotion of water management tool of micro irrigation in general and banana in particular. He is instrumental in the promotion of the Hi-tech Banana cultivation model, the pioneer of production of banana under drip technology in the country. He has been propagating concept of precision agriculture around the world.

Mr. Atul B. Jain is a Commerce Graduate. Mr. Atul Jain took over the marketing responsibilities of Jain Irrigation products initially at the Mumbai office before going to New York, Dubai, Africa and Europe for further business penetration. Besides overall marketing management responsibility he has also handled all India marketing function of Drip Irrigation and PVC pipe products, PE and other speciality pipes and fittings all over the world. He has been involved with development of new applications & products in overseas markets for food, plastic and sheet divisions. He is currently also Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
Since 2002, Mr. Atul Jain has been based in Jalgaon. He oversees the marketing of Irrigation products, piping products in both domestic and international markets. He is a great believer in innovation. He has been instrumental in developing a strong market for PVC pipes for domestic and export markets.
He is widely travelled & travels all over the world for continued market development and extension to both Developing Countries the JISL Business Model of Sustainable Development & Uplift of the Entire Community, based of which each of JISL’s Products & Services are developed.
Under his able direction JISL has signed MOU with Governments in India and abroad, wherein JISL has been given the mandate for developing a total Country Plan for achieving Food & Water Security. Mr. Atul Jain has a passion to build complete solution around water at country and city levels.
Dr. Narendra Jadhav, is an Indian national (born in 1953). Dr Jadhav, currently a Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha-Nominated, has had a long and outstanding professional career spanning more than four decades in public service. Some of the distinguished positions held by Dr Jadhav with distinction include Member, Planning Commission, Member, National Advisory Council (NAC), Vice- Chancellor of University of Pune and the Chief Economist, Reserve Bank of India.

Over 70 leading companies and banks were engaged between 2012 and 2018 in company actions, collaborations and joint initiatives geared to creating shared value with small farmers, through value chain development, inputs and advice, and financial services. She has Strong knowhow and engagement on retail distribution channels for consumer goods, insurance, and B2B products with Exito, Bimbo, FEMSA, P&G in Latin America. Nancy joined the World bank as a Young Professional and became the global Division Chief for Industry globally. She has Held managerial positions in industry, trade, finance, and public sector management in Latin America and South Asia. She went on to become the CEO for Women’s world bank in 1990 where she led major expansion in performance, innovation, and impact expansion of microfinance by specialized institutions and banks in the WWB network, from 20,000 clients in 1990 to 23 million clients in 2006, in over 40 countries of Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. The aggregate global portfolio of WWB network members grew to over USS$8 billion, with loan sizes averaging USS400.

Mukul Sarkar is a Graduate [B.Tech] in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has over 30 years of experience in Indian financial sector mainly in the area of investment banking, corporate banking, trade finance and risk management. He is presently the Chief General Manager and Chief Risk Officer of Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank). He was earlier Group Head of Exim Bank’s Project Exports Group, Corporate Banking Group and SME Business Group. Mr. Sarkar spent three years in Milan, Italy as Head of Exim Bank’s operations in Western Europe. He has vast experience in trade finance, overseas investment finance, export credit, buyer’s credit and project finance.
Prior to joining Exim Bank, Mr. Sarkar worked in SBI Capital Markets Ltd in investment banking. He has also served on the Board of many Indian companies e.g. Natco Pharma, Welspun Corp, Strides Pharma, TCG Lifesciences Ltd. Mr. Sarkar has also consulting experience as he has served as Managing Director & CEO of GPCL Consulting Services Ltd, a consulting firm promoted by Exim Bank.

Mr. Shishir Dalal, is 68 years of age and has vast, rich experience of more than 30 years in the field of Corporate Finance, Audit & Tax. During his practice, he was the Senior Partner of Dalal & Shah, Chartered Accountant firm in India having multi office locations like Pune, Delhi and Ahmedabad. In 2008-2009 the firm became a member of PwC International, where he was the Senior Partner for 4 years as an Assurance Partner.
During his tenure as a Partner at Dalal & Shah and PwC & Co he was signing partner for some of the largest listed Companies like Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Auto Finance which (later became Bajaj Finance Limited) Kirloskar Oil Engines, Bank of Maharashtra, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Bharat Bijlee Limited, Parle Bisleri Limited. Dr. Ashok Dalwai, as a member of the Indian Administrative Service of the 1984 batch was borne on the Odisha Cadre. He has served in different capacities at both field and policy formulation stages in the States of Odisha and Karnataka, as also Government of India. His grass root level experience gained from serving in different backward and tribal pockets of Odisha, besides as District Collector of Kalahandi (Odisha) & Raichur (Karnataka); and in urban management, as Commissioner of Bangalore City Corporation bring him close understanding of peoples’ issues in both rural & urban settings. At the senior level, he has served as Secretary and Principal Secretary in the Departments of Industries, Steel, Mines and Textiles, besides holding various tenures as Chairman and Managing Director of Public Sector Undertakings, Research & Academic Institutions including the Karnataka State Sericultural Research and Development Institute, Talaghatpur, Karnataka; and Government Medical College, Sambalpur. He is the Founder-Chairman of Karnataka
Sugar Institute, Belgaum which has now been named after the former Chief Minister, Shri S. Nijalingappa.
He has served the Government of India from 2010 to 2024. He is one of the initial members of UIDAI team that rolled out bio-metric-based resident enrolment for Aadhaar. As Head of the Technology Centre of UIDAI, his role in building a robust technology platform has been well appreciated.
Since 2015, he was with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India. Having joined initially as Addnl. Secretary in the Ministry, on empanelment as Secretary to Govt. of India in the year 2017, he was posted as Chief Executive Officer, National Rainfed Area Authority in the rank of Union Secretary, which organisation he led in service of the rainfed regions of the country till 2023.
Parallelly, he served as the Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Committee on Doubling Farmers Income, and subsequently as Chairman, Empowered Body, Doubling Farmers’ Income (DFI), till 2024.
