Note: The patented process ROOTGUARD® employs TREFLAN® to protect subsurface emitters against root intrusion. ROOTGUARD® is fused into the emitters during the manufacturing process and protects drip systems from roots for a long period of time. It is chemically degradable, non-systemic and virtually insoluble in water. Because of the limited movement of ROOTGUARD® in the soil and its virtual insolubility in water, only the roots that try to enter the drip emitter will be inhibited. ROOTGUARD® is used under license from Agrifim Irrigation International and the Botelle Memorial Institute, USA.
