What is Jain Solar ?

It is an equipment to heat Water using solar energy. It does not produce electricity but carries heat energy. Jain Solar is manufactured to satisfy your hot water needs. It is ideal for domestic use.

Salient Feature Evacuated tube collector

This is heart of the solar system. Evacuated tubes are made up of borosilicate glass coated with AL-N/AL using sputtering technique. This is worlds latest innovative technique of black coating to achieve highest efficiency.

Insulated Hot Water Tank

Stainless Steel hot water tank with outer cladding of G.I. precoated sheet, insulated with 40 mm thick PUF insulation. This ensures least overnight temperature drop.

Mounting Racks

Generally, mounting racks are designed for flat roof. This rack is assembled by SS. Fasteners at site using L-shaped pre-fabricated & powder coated steel sections.

How about rainy season?

Jain Solar is designed for year round performance. It needs about 7 hours of normal solar radiation for desired performance. As an auxiliary support, electric heater is fitted when hot water availability is not as expected.

Frequently Asked questions (FAQ's)

How does the water get heated in ETC system?

It is a natural process in which Solar energy is absorbed by the black coating on the outside of the inner tube & the same is transferred to the water inside the tube. Water on the upper side of the vacuum tube becomes hot & lighter in weight & it starts rising up into the tank. At the same time, heavier cold water from the tank comes downward from lower side of the tube. This cycle repeats till all the water is heated so long as solar radiation is available.

What is the maximum temperature achieved ?

Domestic systems are designed for temperature upto 60ºC. However, in summer or during periods of less use, higher temperatures can be achieved.

How do we select the capacity ?

For Indian conditions, 25 to 30 liters per person per day is the average hot water use. Accordingly, 100 LPD system is suitable for a family of 3-4 members.

Any maintenance required ?

Use soft water & keep the glass tubes always clean. Check for leakages & valve functioning periodically. Keep in mind that this system is meant for non-pressurized application only. Air vent to the hot water tank is MUST..

What if the water is hard ?

Select close loop system only. Periodically, clean the tank for any scale buildup.

How about soft loan scheme ?

Soft loan is available for 5 years repayment period upto 80% of project cost. Interest rate is 2% for individuals, 3% for non-profit making & 5% for profit making organizations.
