...The 400 acres of land is beautifully and very artistically developed. The "Gurukul" is the old concept which is reformed with all the conveniences and training systems. I would never like to go to Switzerland for a holiday if I could come and stay at Jain farms.
I talked to Mr. Bhavarlalji Jain at length at his residence and believe me, it was an extraordinary experience. He is more a philosopher and a lover of art than an Industrialist. His clear thinking and ideas about good and bad are very open.
I went to his factories and I was taken aback with great pride... The factories have latest automatic machines, well trained and disciplined workers and staff and above all a very clean atmosphere, It was like going to a Temple of the Industrial World.
His smallest and biggest projects are equally good and have the same standard of creativity... |

| ... I see the beginning of that revolution being ushered in a fairly hostile situation. The work done is not limited to selling systems; but to a more comprehensive view of the water utilization problem. I have been pre-occupied for several years with the question of making agriculture remunerative and have lost touch with the technical side of it. While visiting Jains I felt I had gone back in time when I toiled in my dry land farm to make it worthwhile. Technology is opening up new avenues and I sincerely hope the fruits of their technology will be enjoyed by the farmers. I am myself, a recent user of Drip and was greatly encouraged to see the support system... |
