News @ Jains - Jain Irrigation Bags Mango Pulp Orders of More Than Rs. 80 Crores.The company’s fruit processing division has bagged orders for mango pulp from various customers for more than Rs. 82 crores for current season. The company expects to reach mango product sales in excess of Rs. 95 crores in the current financial year. This represents growth in mango business of more that 100% compared to the last season. Company’s export of mango pulp is expected to cross Rs. 70 crores as against Rs. 21.50 crores last year. Domestic sales come from supplies of mango pulp to Coca Cola India. JISL has four plants for fruit processing and has processed about 48,000 MTs of mangoes in the current season. JISL is among the leading producers of mango pulp in India and is possibly amongst the first three processors in the world. Based on current order book and order under negotiations, the fruit and vegetable processing division’s sales turnover is expected to cross Rs. 225 crores in the current financial year as against Rs.100 crores last year. Company has recently set-up a modern facility for the production of frozen fruit pulps and concentrates. Company proposes to ramp up this capacity by 100% before the next season. India is the largest producer of mangoes in the world with a share of more than 55% of the world production. India is also the producer of the most delicious mangoes such as Alphonso, Kesar, Dasheri, Chausa, etc. There is large potential for processed mango products in domestic markets due to upcoming investments in retail sector. JISL is diversified entity and is operating in growth oriented businesses of micro irrigation, plastic pipes, plastic sheets and food processing. |
